How To Look For Nature

Everyday is Earth Day when you know how to find nature where ever you are.

Girl on pier lays down on stomach and uses plastic spoon to look for small crustaceans in water.

Join science communicator and museum educator Michelle Race for some great tips on how to find nature any day of the year. Once you know where to look and some important safety guidelines, head outside to start searching. Community science starts with finding wildlife where you live, so you'll never have to go far to find fascinating  plants and animals. Be sure to take a photo of your observation and upload it to the L.A. Nature Map on iNaturalist: https://www.inaturalist.org/projects/l-a-nature-map
